The Knowledge Hub is where your team finds training videos, policies, handbooks, and other shared knowledge. Each entry has written content (always present) and an optional video. You can browse, watch, read, and confirm entries from both the mobile app and the web.

Browsing entries on mobile

Entries appear as a scrollable list sorted by position order, then by most recently created.

Each row shows:

  • The creator's avatar on the left
  • The entry title
  • A status label on the right -- either Processing..., a watch percentage (e.g. 45% watched), or Not started
  • A three-dot menu icon on the far right

Horizontal filter pills sit at the top of the list. Tap a pill to filter entries by that tag.

Browsing entries on web

Entries appear in a table with these columns:

  • Title -- the entry name with the creator's avatar beside it
  • Category -- the tag assigned to the entry (hidden on smaller screens)
  • Content -- a truncated preview of the written content, followed by (more) if it is longer than the preview (hidden on smaller screens)
  • Watched -- a progress bar with a percentage for video entries, Processing... if the video is still being prepared, or - for text-only entries
  • Confirmed -- a checkmark and Yes if you have confirmed reading the written content, or - if you have not
  • Actions -- a three-dot menu icon

Two filter dropdowns appear in the table headers:

  • All Tags -- filter entries by one or more tags
  • All Watched -- filter by watch status: Not Started, In Progress, or Completed

Click any row in the table to open the entry.

Opening an entry on web

Clicking a row opens a popup with the entry title at the top and one or two tabs.

Video tab (only shown when the entry has a video):

  1. The video player loads automatically
  2. Use the playback controls to play, pause, and scrub through the video
  3. If the video is still being prepared, the message "Video is still processing. Please check back shortly." appears instead of the player

Content tab (always present):

  1. Tap the Content tab to switch to the written content
  2. Read the formatted text
  3. Tap the Confirm button at the bottom when you have finished reading

After you tap Confirm, the button changes to Confirmed with a checkmark and becomes disabled. Your confirmation is recorded and the Confirmed column in the table updates to show a checkmark and Yes.

Text-only entries (no video) open directly to the Content tab.

Opening an entry on mobile

  1. Tap an entry in the list to open it
  2. If the entry has a video, the video player opens with a description overlay at the bottom
  3. Tap the eye icon in the top right to see who has watched
  4. If public sharing is enabled, tap the link icon in the top right to copy the share link

Sharing an entry

If public sharing has been enabled for an entry, you can copy a link to share it outside of Pilla.

On web:

  1. Click the three-dot menu on the entry row
  2. Click Copy Public Link
  3. A confirmation appears: "Video link copied to clipboard"

On mobile:

  1. Open the entry
  2. Tap the link icon in the top right of the player
  3. A confirmation appears: "Video link copied to clipboard"

If public sharing is not enabled for an entry, the Copy Public Link option does not appear in the menu.

How video progress is tracked

Your video progress saves automatically. You do not need to do anything to record it -- Pilla saves your position when you:

  • Close the popup
  • Switch to another tab or app
  • Reach the end of the video

Progress under 5% is not recorded. If you reach 98% or more, it counts as fully watched (100%).

Confirming written content

Every entry has written content. Confirming tells your manager that you have read and understood it.

  1. Open the entry
  2. Go to the Content tab
  3. Read the content
  4. Tap Confirm at the bottom

You can only confirm once. After confirming, the button shows Confirmed with a checkmark.

Tips

  • Text-only entries show - in the Watched column because there is no video to track -- use the Confirmed column to check reading progress instead
  • Your video progress saves automatically, so you can close the player and pick up where you left off next time
  • Use the All Tags filter to narrow the list to a specific topic or category
  • Use the All Watched filter to find entries you have not started yet or are part-way through
  • If a video still shows "Processing...", the upload has not finished yet -- check back in a few minutes
  • The Copy Public Link option only appears when your manager has turned on public sharing for that entry
