Entries in work elements
Article Content
Any work element -- text, number, photo, checklist and so on -- can have a Knowledge Hub entry attached to it. This gives your team just-in-time training right at the point of need, so they can watch a video or read guidance before completing the element.
How linked entries appear
When a Knowledge Hub entry is linked to an element, staff see a video icon and the entry title directly below the element instruction. This indicator tells them that guidance is available for that step.
Viewing a linked entry
- Open the work item
- Find the element with the entry indicator (video icon and title below the instruction)
- Tap the entry title to open the built-in player
- Watch the video or read the content for guidance
- Close the player and continue completing the element
If the video is still processing, tapping shows: "This video is still processing. Please try again shortly."
Completion tracking
Viewing progress is recorded automatically. Managers can see who has watched or read each linked entry, tracked alongside normal work completion. This means you can verify that staff reviewed the guidance before completing their task.
Tips
- Linked entries deliver training in context -- staff get the right guidance at the right moment without browsing the hub separately
- Everyone sees the same instructions, keeping procedures consistent across your team
- Check viewing progress alongside work completion to confirm staff reviewed the guidance
- If a video shows a processing message, wait a few minutes and try again
