Work issues

If something goes wrong while completing work, you can report it as an issue. This alerts managers and tracks problems that need attention.

Reporting an issue

To report an issue with a work item:

  1. Open the work item from the Work Items tab
  2. Tap the ellipsis menu (three dots) in the top right corner
  3. Select Highlight an issue with this work (or the custom label if one was set on the issue button element)
  4. A confirmation dialog appears: "Are you sure you want to report an issue with this work?"
  5. Tap Report to confirm

The work item is marked with an issue flag. You can still complete the work after reporting an issue.

The Highlight an issue with this work option only appears if:

  • The work template includes an issue button element
  • No issue has already been reported on this work item
  • The work is not yet finished

The Live issues screen

The Live issues screen shows all work items that currently have an issue flag.

Accessing Live issues

  1. Go to the Work Items tab
  2. Tap the Menu button (the tab icon when selected)
  3. Select View live issues

This menu option is available to all users (role 1+).

What you will see

The Live issues screen displays:

  • AppBar titled "Live issues" with a back button
  • Date slot — shows the date for each work item
  • Work cards — each flagged work item with title, team, completion status, and a red issue border
  • If no issues exist: "No live issues found"

Swipe actions

You can swipe on issue cards:

  • Swipe right — open the work thread to discuss the issue
  • Swipe left — send a direct message about the issue (opens user selection screen)

Refreshing the list

Pull down on the list to refresh and check for new issues.

Resolving an issue

When an issue has been addressed, you can mark it as resolved:

  1. Open the work item with the issue
  2. The main action button in the floating bar shows Issue Resolved
  3. Tap Issue Resolved to clear the issue flag

The Issue Resolved button is disabled if the work is already finished. Once resolved, the work item is removed from the Live issues screen.

Issue visibility

Work items with issues are visible in several places:

  • The Live issues screen (menu > View live issues)
  • On individual work cards (red border around the card)
  • On date tabs (red border around tabs with issues)
  • In work exports and reports

Tips

  • Report issues to alert managers without stopping your work
  • Issues are visible to all users in the Live issues screen
  • Use swipe actions on issue cards to communicate about problems
  • Resolve issues promptly once the problem is addressed
  • Check Live issues regularly to stay on top of problems
