Article Content

The Knowledge Hub tracks how your team engages with each entry. You can see who has watched a video and how far they got, and who has confirmed reading the written content.

Reading the table columns

Each entry in the Hub table has two tracking columns:

  • Watched -- shows a progress bar and percentage (e.g. "73%") representing how much of the video you have watched. Text-only entries show "-", and entries still being processed show "Processing...".
  • Confirmed -- shows a checkmark and "Yes" if the viewer has confirmed reading the written content. Otherwise shows "-".

Viewing who watched a video

  1. Open the row actions menu on the entry you want to check
  2. Tap View Video Watches (this option only appears if the entry has a video)
  3. The "Watched by..." panel opens on the right

The panel shows a count badge at the top (e.g. "5 watches"). Each row lists the viewer's avatar, name or email, the date and time they watched, and their watch percentage on the right.

If nobody has watched the video yet, you will see "No watches yet" with the message "Watches will appear here as team members view this video."

Viewing who confirmed reading

  1. Open the row actions menu on the entry
  2. Tap View Written Reads
  3. The "Read by..." panel opens on the right

Each row lists the viewer's avatar, name or email, and the date and time they confirmed. There is no percentage for reads -- it is a one-time confirmation.

If nobody has confirmed yet, you will see "No confirmations yet" with the message "Confirmations will appear here as team members read this content."

Understanding watch percentages

Watch percentages tell you how much of the video a viewer completed:

  • 100% -- watched the entire video (anything 98% or above rounds up to 100%)
  • 50-99% -- watched most of the video but did not finish
  • 5-49% -- started watching but got less than halfway
  • Under 5% -- not recorded, so it will not appear in the list

How progress is tracked

Video watch progress is saved automatically. Pilla records progress when the viewer leaves the player, switches to another app or tab, closes the player, or finishes the video. There is nothing the viewer needs to do beyond pressing play.

Written content confirmation works differently. After reading the written content, the viewer taps the Confirm button on the content tab. This is a one-time action -- once confirmed, it stays confirmed.

Checking watches on mobile

  1. Open the entry you want to check
  2. Tap the eye icon in the top-right corner
  3. The "Watched by..." screen opens with the same viewer list: avatar, name, date and time, and percentage

Pull down to refresh the list. Updates appear in real time as team members watch.

Tips

  • Use the Watched column to quickly spot entries with low engagement -- a low percentage means most of the team has not finished the video
  • The Confirmed column is independent of the Watched column. A viewer can confirm reading the written content without watching the video, and vice versa
  • Watch progress under 5% is not recorded, so viewers who only opened the video briefly will not appear in the list
  • The watch percentage rounds to the nearest whole number, and anything 98% or above shows as 100%
  • On web, both the "Watched by..." and "Read by..." panels stay open while you continue working in the table
