- How is this different from WhatsApp or iMessage?
- Pilla messages are linked to your shifts, tasks, and team structure. You get a full audit trail, read receipts, and the ability to attach conversations to specific work items or shifts. You can also send rich media like photos, videos, and files. WhatsApp and iMessage have none of that context, and there's no way to trace a conversation back to the task or shift it relates to.
- Can I attach messages to specific shifts or tasks?
- Yes. Tag a message to a shift or a work item so the conversation has context. When you look back at a piece of work or a shift, the related messages are right there.
- Can I see who's read a message?
- Yes. Every message shows read receipts so you know who's seen it and who hasn't.
- Can staff message each other directly?
- Yes. Staff can send direct messages to any team member, as well as posting in group chats.
- Can I send photos and files in messages?
- Yes. You can attach photos, videos, and other media to any message. Useful for reporting issues, sharing updates, or showing completed work.
- Can I create separate group chats for different teams?
- Yes. Each team has its own group chat automatically, and you can create additional groups however you like. The structure is completely customisable to match how your business communicates.
- Do staff get push notifications for new messages?
- Yes. Staff receive push notifications on their phone when they get a new message, whether it's a direct message, a group chat, or a message from Poppi.
- Is there a full message history?
- Yes. Every message is stored with timestamps and attribution. Nothing gets deleted or lost. You can search back through the full history at any time.
- Can managers see all team conversations?
- Managers can see group chats for teams they manage. Direct messages between staff are private.
- Does Poppi post in the team chat?

- Can I send an announcement to all staff at once?
