The Watched by screen
Viewer list
Each row in the list displays:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Avatar | Profile photo for each viewer |
| Name | The viewer's name, or their email address if no name is set |
| Date and time | When they watched the video |
| Percentage | How much of the video they watched (e.g. "73%") |
You can pull down to refresh the list and see the latest viewing data. The list also updates in real time when new views are recorded.
Empty state
If no one has watched the video yet, you'll see:
No views yet Views will appear here as team members watch this video.
Viewing progress on web
On the web, each video's progress is shown directly in the Videos table:
- A progress bar and percentage appear in the Progress column
- You can filter the table by watch status using the All Progress dropdown in the header, which includes options for Not started, In progress, and Completed
- Videos that are still processing show "Processing..." instead of a progress bar
The web does not currently have a "Watched by" screen. To see individual viewer details, use the mobile app.
Understanding percentages
Each viewer shows their completion percentage:
| Percentage | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 100% | Staff member completed the entire video |
| 50-99% | Watched most but did not finish |
| 5-49% | Started but watched less than half |
Watching 98% or more of a video counts as 100% complete. Progress under 5% is not recorded.
How progress is tracked
Video progress is recorded automatically:
- Progress is tracked as the video plays (checked every second on mobile, on every time update on web)
- Progress is saved when the user leaves the video player or closes the dialog
- On mobile, progress is also saved when the app goes to the background
- On web, progress is also saved when the browser tab becomes hidden or when the video ends
Tips
- Check watch data regularly, especially for important training videos
- Follow up promptly with staff who have not completed required training
- Use the progress filter on web to quickly identify videos with low completion
- Progress is saved automatically, so there is no need for staff to manually track their viewing
