Videos in work elements
Article Content
Videos can be linked to individual work elements, providing just-in-time training when staff need it most.
What are video-linked work elements?
Videos are not a separate element type. Instead, any work element (text, number, photo, checklist, etc.) can have a video attached to it. When a video is linked to an element, staff see a video button on the element card while completing work, giving them access to relevant training material at the point of need.
Staff experience with video-linked elements
When staff encounter a work element with a linked video, they will see a video icon and the video title displayed below the element's instruction text.
Watching a linked video
- Open the work item
- Find the element with the video indicator (video icon and title below the instruction)
- Tap the video title to open the built-in video player
- Watch the video for guidance
- Close the player and continue completing the element
If the video is still processing, tapping it will show a message: "This video is still processing. Please try again shortly."
Completion tracking
When you watch a video linked to a work element:
- Your viewing progress is recorded
- Managers can see who watched the video
- The video viewing is tracked alongside normal work completion
