Video library

Article Content

The video library is where you should upload your company training and policies for all staff to view.

Accessing the video library

On mobile

Tap the video icon in the floating bar at the bottom of the screen. The Videos screen opens showing all available videos.

On web

Click the Videos tab at the top of the main screen. Videos are displayed in a table format.

Browsing videos on mobile

The Videos screen displays all available videos in a list. Each video row shows:

  • Avatar - The creator's profile picture
  • Title - The video name
  • Status - Shows "Processing...", "X% watched", or "Not started"
  • Menu icon - Three dots on the right side to open the video for editing

Videos are sorted by their position order, then by most recently created.

Filtering by tag

At the top of the screen, horizontal filter pills let you browse by category:

  1. Tap All to see every video
  2. Tap a tag name to filter to that category
  3. The list updates to show only matching videos

Tags are sorted by their position order.

Empty library

If no videos have been uploaded yet, you'll see:

"No videos yet"

"Click the blue button above to add a video"

Browsing videos on web

The Videos tab displays videos in a table with the following columns:

  • Video - Creator's avatar and video title
  • Category - The tag assigned to the video (hidden on small screens)
  • Description - Truncated description with "(more)" if longer than 50 characters (hidden on small and medium screens)
  • Progress - A progress bar and percentage showing how much you have watched
  • Actions - Three-dot menu with options to view, edit, copy link, or delete

Filtering on web

Use the dropdown filters in the table headers:

  • All Tags - Filter by one or more video tags
  • All Progress - Filter by watch status (Not started, In progress, Completed)

Empty table

If no videos match your filters, the table shows "No videos found."

Playing videos on mobile

Starting a video

  1. Tap the video row in the list
  2. The video player opens and starts playing automatically

Videos marked as "Processing..." are greyed out and cannot be tapped.

Video player controls

The video player uses the native video player and includes:

  • Play/Pause - Standard video controls
  • Progress bar - Drag to seek to a different point
  • Fullscreen - Tap the fullscreen icon for a larger view
  • Picture-in-picture - Continue watching while using other apps

Video description

If a video has a description, it appears as a semi-transparent overlay at the bottom of the player showing the first two lines of text. Tap more... to open the full description on a separate screen where links are tappable.

If public sharing is enabled for the video, a link icon appears in the top right of the player:

  1. Tap the link icon
  2. The video link is copied to your clipboard
  3. An alert confirms "Copied! Video link copied to clipboard"

If public sharing is not enabled, the link icon does not appear.

Viewing who watched

To see who has watched a video:

  1. Tap the eye icon in the top right of the player
  2. The Watched by... screen opens showing watch statistics

Playing videos on web

Starting a video

Click any video row in the table. A dialog opens with the video player.

Videos that are still processing show the message "Video is still processing. Please check back shortly." instead of a player.

Video player dialog

The dialog shows the video title at the top. If the video has a description, two tabs appear:

  • Video - The video player with standard playback controls
  • Guidance - The full description text with clickable links

If there is no description, only the video player is shown without tabs.

Use the actions menu (three dots) on the video row and select Copy Link. A toast notification confirms the link has been copied. If public sharing is disabled for that video, a toast reads "Public link disabled for this video."

Progress tracking

Automatic progress saving

Your video progress is saved automatically when you:

  • Switch to another app or tab (background the app or change browser tab)
  • Close the video player or dialog
  • Navigate away from the screen

What counts as watched

Progress is recorded as a percentage:

  • X% watched - Shows in the video list or table
  • Progress under 5% is not recorded
  • Reaching 98% or higher counts as 100% complete

Tips

  • Use filter pills (mobile) or header dropdowns (web) to find videos in specific categories
  • Progress saves automatically, so you can pause and come back any time
  • Check the eye icon on a video to see who has watched it
