Process Street vs Whale (2026): SOP workflows and audit-ready runs, or AI SOP capture and training

Process Street sells SOP workflows inside a compliance operations platform. Whale sells AI SOP software for documentation and training. They overlap on SOPs, checklists and proof. They split on policy docs, approvals and audit-ready runs versus capture, training flows and a knowledge base. I built Pilla for a different job: AI acting inside the run.

Process Street holds policies and SOPs in Docs and runs them as assigned workflows in Ops. You prove the work with form fields, files, timestamps and human approvals. Cora flags skipped steps and overdue tasks. You keep version history and exportable run records. You can add acknowledgments, DocuSign, automations and an MCP server.

I would keep Process Street if I needed SOP workflows, policy docs and audit-ready runs from one product. That suite is a fair reason to stay.

Whale holds SOPs, policies and how-tos in one library. You capture a process with a step recorder, a screen recording or Alice. You assign the read, the quiz and the checklist. Checklists tick steps and can take a photo. Alice answers from the current card. CoPilot can surface an SOP inside another web tool.

I would keep Whale if I needed AI SOP capture, training flows and a knowledge base. That suite is a fair reason to stay.

If the job is SOP workflows, policy docs and audit-ready runs, keep Process Street. If the job is AI SOP capture, training flows and a knowledge base, keep Whale. I built Pilla for a different job.
