I wrote this because I keep getting asked what to use instead of Delightree. I ran restaurants for years. I know the job: you want the floor to do the work without you chasing every check.

Delightree is a franchise operating system. You publish SOPs, assign training and daily tasks, run audits on a phone, and open new locations on Location Launcher. AI Search answers from approved content. Delphi answers operational questions. Astra can recommend an action, and a person still has to approve it.

I built Pilla so you can turn a process you already know into a workflow on a canvas. Your team runs it on a phone, tablet or the web app. Pilla can fetch, decide and act while the work is happening. You keep the judgement calls.

If you want to try it on a process you already run, open the canvas.

I would pick Pilla when I want AI to act inside the work. I would keep Delightree when I want franchise SOPs, training, audits and launches together. I would look at Operandio when I want franchise ops, LMS and food safety together.

How did we compare them?

I ask the same twelve questions I use on every vs page. For this shortlist I stayed with frontline ops tools. I put Pilla first because that is the product I built. Operandio is the other franchise OS people name next to Delightree. YOOBIC is the retail store ops suite with comms and learning. Zipline is HQ-to-store comms and execution. Ocasta is the branded comms, knowledge and checks platform. I left out office task apps, Zapier-style automation, and rota products. I read their public docs on 16 September 2026. Where they stay quiet, I stay quiet.

I am Liam Jones. I founded Pilla after more than ten years running hospitality operations, food safety and frontline teams. On 16 September 2026 I sat with Delightree's task setup, form types, site visits, Chat, Location Launcher, AI Search and pricing, then with Operandio jobs and pricing, YOOBIC task management and pricing, Zipline Day Sheet and pricing, and Ocasta insight types and pricing. I have not lived in a paid Delightree, Operandio, YOOBIC, Zipline or Ocasta account for this write-up. I am telling you what their docs say.

What should you take away?

  • I would pick Pilla if I wanted the floor to follow the process without me chasing every check
  • I would pick Pilla if I wanted the work checked as it comes in, and followed up when something needs me
  • I would keep Delightree if I needed a franchise OS for SOPs, training, audits and location launches
  • I would look at Operandio if I needed franchise ops, LMS and food safety together

I built Pilla for AI work management on the floor. Delightree sells a franchise operating system for SOPs, training, audits and launches. The other names on this page are real substitutes for part of that job, not clones.

What is Delightree, and why look elsewhere?

Delightree holds SOPs, training, daily tasks and brand audits in one place. You prove the work with photos, video, scores and, on food checks, a geofence. Failed visits open corrective tasks and can trigger retraining. You launch each new location on Location Launcher. Chat has DMs, groups and channels. Announcements need an acknowledgement. AI Search answers from approved content. Astra can recommend an action a person still has to approve.

People look for a Delightree alternative when they want AI inside the run, a published price, a visual canvas, or they do not want Location Launcher, the LMS and franchise publishing from the same vendor. Some stay because that suite is the job.

I would keep Delightree if I needed a franchise OS for SOPs, training, audits and location launches from one vendor. That suite is a fair reason to stay.

Price: No public software price. Sales quote.

Trial: Demo and quote. No advertised self-serve trial.

Why people stay

  • SOPs, training, audits and Location Launcher in one franchise OS
  • DMs, channels and announcements with acknowledgements
  • Photo, video and file proof, plus geofence on food checks
  • Unlimited users claimed, HQ seats included

Why people look

  • No public software price
  • I could not find an AI step inside a task
  • I could not find a visual canvas
  • I could not find an MCP server or a public API reference
  • I could not find a self-serve trial

What are the best Delightree alternatives?

1. Pilla

Operators who want AI to act inside the work

I built Pilla so you can turn a process you already know into a workflow on a canvas. Your team runs it on a phone, tablet or the web app. Pilla checks the work as it comes in and follows up when something needs you. You keep the judgement calls. I did not build shift scheduling, payroll, HR, Location Launcher or a franchise LMS. If you need those, keep them on Delightree or another vendor. You can open it the same day. Starter is £49 a month with 500 processed workflows. Pro is £99 with 1,000, and adds AI automations inside Pilla. Every new account gets a 14-day trial of every Pro feature, with no card. People are unlimited.

2. Operandio

Franchise operators who want checklists, LMS and food safety together

I would look at Operandio when I want franchise ops, LMS and food safety together. You schedule digital jobs, collect photo and score proof, and you can add LMS, announcements with read receipts, sensors and labels. Network agents can assign training or CAPA. I could not find a public software price. Their pricing FAQ says they offer a pilot, not a free trial.

Pros

  • Jobs, LMS and food safety in one franchise OS
  • Announcements with read receipts
  • Sensors, labels and CAPA if you buy those modules
  • Pilot offered

Cons

  • No public software price
  • I could not find DMs or group chats
  • Pricing FAQ says no free trial
  • Sensors and printers cost extra

Price: No public software price. Sales quote. Pilot offered.

3. YOOBIC

Retail chains that want tasks, comms, learning and store AI in one app

I would look at YOOBIC when I want store tasks, comms, learning and VM photo scoring from one vendor. Store teams log into YOOBIC ONE on a phone, tablet or the web app. They run missions, chat and take mobile courses. HQ builds campaign forms, collects photo proof and scores visits. Copilots brief managers and review display photos. I could not find a public software price. They offer a demo, a product tour or a 4-week proof of value.

Pros

  • Tasks, comms and learning in one store ops platform
  • 1:1 and group chat, plus a newsfeed
  • VM Copilot photo review
  • Public REST API

Cons

  • No public software price
  • I could not find an AI step inside a campaign
  • I could not find an MCP server
  • I could not find a self-serve trial

Price: No public software price. Sales quote. Demo, product tour or 4-week proof of value.

Pilla vs YOOBIC

4. Zipline

Retail brands that want HQ-to-store comms and execution

I would look at Zipline when I want HQ-to-store comms and execution. HQ publishers send targeted messages and tasks onto the Day Sheet. You track readership and photo proof. Zippy answers from the brand library, and as of 2026 it can call customer MCP servers. Messenger is DMs and Groups. I could not find a public software price. Demo and quote. I could not find an advertised self-serve trial.

Pros

  • HQ messages and tasks on one Day Sheet
  • Messenger DMs and Groups
  • Resource Library and Zippy
  • Zippy can call customer MCP servers

Cons

  • No public software price
  • I could not find an AI step inside a Day Sheet task
  • I could not find a Zipline MCP server other tools can call
  • I could not find an advertised self-serve trial

Price: No public software price. Sales quote. Demo and quote.

Pilla vs Zipline

5. Ocasta

Retail and field teams that want comms, knowledge, checks and coaching

I would look at Ocasta when I want comms, knowledge, scored checks and coaching in one branded app. Five hubs snap together or run solo. You read targeted news, search knowledge, complete scored reviews and pick up tasks. AI on their live pages is search answers, a writing assistant and generated learning questions. I could not find DMs or group channels. They quote you. A founder demo is the start. I could not find an advertised self-serve trial.

Pros

  • Comms, knowledge, scored checks and coaching in one app
  • Scored reviews with geotagged photos
  • Founder demo and a quote within 24 hours
  • Implementation fees waived through 2026

Cons

  • No public software price
  • I could not find DMs or group channels
  • I could not find an MCP server or a public API reference
  • I could not find an advertised self-serve trial

Price: No public software price. Sales quote. Founder demo.

Pilla vs Ocasta

Which should you pick?

If I needed franchise SOPs, training, audits and location launches from one vendor, I would keep Delightree. That suite is a fair reason to stay. If I wanted the work drawn on a canvas and AI acting inside the run, with DMs and MCP, I would use Pilla, and I would keep location launches and the franchise LMS somewhere else. If the job is franchise ops plus LMS and food safety, I would look at Operandio. If the job is retail store tasks plus comms and learning, I would look at YOOBIC.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Delightree alternative?

I would pick Pilla if I wanted the floor to follow a process, with the work checked as it comes in. I would keep Delightree if I needed a franchise OS for SOPs, training, audits and location launches. I would look at Operandio for franchise ops plus LMS and food safety, YOOBIC for store tasks plus comms and learning, Zipline for HQ-to-store comms and execution, and Ocasta for comms, knowledge and scored checks.

How much do these Delightree alternatives cost?

Delightree quotes you. I could not find a public software price. Pilla is Starter at £49 a month with 500 processed workflows, and Pro at £99 with 1,000. People are unlimited. Operandio, YOOBIC, Zipline and Ocasta quote you.

Does switching from Delightree replace location launches, training or the franchise hierarchy?

No. I did not build Pilla for shift scheduling, payroll or HR. If you need Location Launcher, the built-in LMS or franchisor publishing, keep those on Delightree or another product.

Does Delightree have DMs and group chats?

Chat help documents direct messages, groups and channels, plus files and photos. Announcements are a separate surface with acknowledgement tracking. A feature flag can turn chat off. HQ roles cannot start a chat with Staff. I could not find chat sitting on a live workflow run.

How did you pick this shortlist?

I stayed with frontline ops tools and used the same twelve questions I use on every vs page. I read public docs on 16 September 2026. I left out office task apps, Zapier-style automation, and rota products. The deep tables live on the vs pages linked from each name.

Where did these facts come from?

Delightree and peer claims on this page come from their own public docs. Pilla claims come from the current product.
