I wrote this because I keep getting asked whether Pilla replaces Delightree. I ran restaurants for years. I know the job: you want the floor to do the work without you chasing every check.
Delightree is a franchise operating system. You publish SOPs, assign training and daily tasks, run audits on a phone, and open new locations on Location Launcher. AI Search answers from approved content. Delphi answers operational questions. Astra can recommend an action, and a person still has to approve it.
I built Pilla so you can turn a process you already know into a workflow on a canvas. Your team runs it on a phone, tablet or the web app. Pilla can fetch, decide and act while the work is happening. You keep the judgement calls.

How did we compare them?
I ask the same twelve questions on every comparison. For Pilla I describe what the product does today. For Delightree I went back to their help, changelog and product pages on 15 September 2026. Where they stay quiet, I stay quiet.

Why do people like Pilla?
You open Pilla on the phone you already carry. You see the next step, read how to do it, take the photo or sign, and move on. The record lands while you work. Pilla checks it against the rules you set and follows up when something needs you.

Delightree quotes a flat rate per location. They say HQ seats are included and adding people never adds cost. Capabilities you turn on, roles, brands and rollout support also affect the quote. I could not find a public software price. Their changelog shows a license dashboard that tracks licensed seats. I treated the pricing page as the commercial story. I have left third-party dollar figures off this page.
How long does setup take, and how hard is it?
You can open Pilla the same day. Every new account gets a 14-day trial of Pro, with no card. I usually see a first opening or closing workflow take an afternoon. Delightree starts with a demo and a quote. White-glove onboarding is part of the deal. Tasks can go live quickly. Training paths and Location Launcher take a real rollout.
If you move, you rebuild the tasks and forms on the canvas. Photos and history stay in Delightree unless you export them by hand. Run both for a while. Keep location launches, training and the franchise publishing model on Delightree or another vendor. I did not build Pilla to do shift scheduling, payroll or HR.
Does the answer change by budget or size?
If you only need digital checklists and you want to try something today, start with Pilla. If you run a franchise network and you need SOPs, training, audits and location launches from one vendor, stay with Delightree. If money is tight, I publish prices. Delightree quotes you. If you want AI in the run and an MCP server, I would pick Pilla even in a small team.

What is Delightree designed to do?
Delightree holds SOPs, training, daily tasks and brand audits in one place. You prove the work with photos, video, scores and, on food checks, a geofence. Failed visits open corrective tasks and can trigger retraining. You launch each new location on the same phased playbook, and you send announcements that need an acknowledgement. I would stay on Delightree for that whole suite.
What is Pilla designed to do?
I built Pilla so you can turn the processes you already know into workflows on a canvas. Your team follows them on a phone, tablet or the web app. Pilla checks completed work and handles the follow-up you configured. You keep judgement, coaching and the awkward calls. I left shift scheduling, payroll and HR out on purpose.
What differences actually matter?
How do they check the work?
On Pilla I put AI fetching, decisions and actions in the run. On Delightree a required photo, a score, a flag or a geofence does the checking. Astra can recommend an action for a person to approve. I could not find an AI fetch, decision or action step inside a task run.
How do you design the work?
On Pilla you draw a visual canvas with branching and reuse the workflow. On Delightree you build a task, a form or a site visit template, and Location Launcher gates phases until the last step is done. Recurrence is a schedule. I could not find a visual canvas.
How do you provide guidance?
On Pilla you sit written, photo and video guidance beside each step. On Delightree you write chapters with images and video, put that media in training, and link it into a task step or an audit. I could not find a dedicated photo-guidance or video-guidance step.
How do they follow up?
On Pilla you get human and AI follow-ups. On Delightree a failed visit becomes a corrective task and can trigger retraining. Form triggers notify someone when an answer matches. Astra can recommend the next step. I could not find an AI follow-up that runs as a step inside the work.
How do they connect other software?
Pilla publishes an MCP server, a REST API and integrations. Delightree documents Zapier, HubSpot, QuickBooks and Zenoti. Help tells you to generate an API key for Zapier. I could not find a Delightree MCP server or a public API reference.
What are you paying for?
On Pilla you pay for processed workflows, with unlimited people, and you get a 14-day trial of every Pro feature with no card. Delightree quotes you per location. I could not find a public software price.
Which should you pick?
If I needed franchise SOPs, training, audits and location launches from one vendor, I would keep Delightree. That suite is a fair reason to stay. If I wanted the work drawn on a canvas and AI acting inside the run, with DMs and MCP, I would use Pilla, and I would keep location launches and the franchise LMS somewhere else.
Frequently asked questions
Is Delightree an AI work management product?
No. It is a franchise operating system. Live pages talk about AI Search on approved SOPs, Delphi for operational questions, and Astra in early access recommending actions a person approves. I could not find AI fetch, decide or act steps inside a task.
Can staff chat in Delightree the way they would in Pilla?
Chat help documents direct messages, groups and channels, plus files and photos. Announcements are a separate surface with acknowledgement tracking. A feature flag can turn chat off. HQ roles cannot start a chat with Staff. I could not find chat sitting on a live workflow run.
What evidence can Delightree capture?
A form or task can take a live photo, a live video, a file, a checklist and an acknowledgement. Site visits can require a location-admin signature and photo or document proof on a flagged answer. Food and beverage marketing shows geofence confirmation on line checks. I could not find an audio capture field, or a dedicated number, date, rating or GPS field on the forms how-to.
How much does Delightree cost compared to Pilla?
Delightree quotes you. I could not find a public software price. They say it is a flat rate per location, with HQ seats included. Demo and quote. No self-serve trial advertised. Does switching to Pilla replace Delightree location launches, training or the franchise hierarchy?
No. I did not build Pilla for shift scheduling, payroll or HR. If you need Location Launcher, the built-in LMS or franchisor publishing, keep those on Delightree or another product.
How long does it take to switch from Delightree to Pilla?
You rebuild the tasks and forms on the canvas. A first workflow usually takes an afternoon. Running both side by side can take days or a couple of weeks, depending on how many checklists you have. Photos and history stay in Delightree unless you move them by hand.
