Pilla vs Falcony (2026): AI that acts inside the work, or observations and audits in an involvement platform
I wrote this because I keep getting asked whether Pilla replaces Falcony. I ran restaurants for years. I know the job: you want the floor to do the work without you chasing every check.
Falcony joined WeKomply in April 2025. You still log into Falcony at app.falcony.io. People report observations and run scored audits in the browser, attach photos and files, and assign follow-up. You can add whistleblowing, a tenant portal, chemicals and ESG if you buy those suites.
I built Pilla so you can turn a process you already know into a workflow on a canvas. Your team runs it on a phone, tablet or the web app. Pilla can fetch, decide and act while the work is happening. You keep the judgement calls.
If you want to try it on a process you already run, open the canvas.
I would pick Pilla when I want AI to act inside the work. I would pick Falcony when I want observations, scored audits and involvement tools together.
How did we compare them?
I ask the same twelve questions on every comparison. For Pilla I describe what the product does today. For Falcony I went back to their help and product pages on 16 September 2026. Where they stay quiet, I stay quiet.
I am Liam Jones. I founded Pilla after more than ten years running hospitality operations, food safety and frontline teams. On 16 September 2026 I sat with Falcony's current help: What is Falcony, observation templates, audit question types, conducting an audit, assigning an observation, AI summaries, AI Answers, add-ons, integrations and the photo library. I have not lived in a paid Falcony account for this write-up. I am telling you what their docs say.
What should you take away?
- I would pick Pilla if I wanted the floor to follow the process without me chasing every check
- I would pick Pilla if I wanted the work checked as it comes in, and followed up when something needs me
- I would keep Falcony if I needed observations, scored audits and involvement tools from one vendor
- I would not switch expecting Pilla to take over whistleblowing, a tenant portal or ESG

I built Pilla for AI work management on the floor. Falcony sells observations and audits inside an involvement platform.
Why do people like Pilla?
You open Pilla on the phone you already carry. You see the next step, read how to do it, take the photo or sign, and move on. The record lands while you work. Pilla checks it against the rules you set and follows up when something needs you.
I hear the same thing from managers: they draw the process once and stop asking all day whether it happened. The team likes it because they can see what good looks like before they start.
“Pilla helps me have a day off knowing that procedures will be followed”
Charles, owner of 11 hospitality sites
When does switching from Falcony to Pilla make sense?
- You want Pilla to check the work as it comes in
- You want to draw the process on a canvas and branch it
- You want a photo, a video or a file sitting on the step itself
- You want DMs and group chats next to the work
- You want an MCP server you can call
- You are happy to keep whistleblowing, the tenant portal and ESG somewhere else
What do you pay for?
| Capability | Pilla | Falcony |
|---|---|---|
| What you pay for | Unlimited users, usage based on workflows | Quote; usage on people involved, plus add-ons |
| Public price | Starter is £49 a month for 500 processed workflows. Pro is £99 a month for 1,000. | No public software price. Sales quote. |
| Trial | 14-day free trial of every Pro feature, with no card | 30-day free trial. Separate 30-day ESG trial. |
Falcony's header still links to pricing, but that page returned 404 on 16 September 2026. The HSEQ FAQ says usage-based pricing, typically on employees or users involved, and they say they do not use expensive per-seat fees. The Facilities FAQ prices on property type, number of properties and modules. Contractors and tenants typically cost nothing extra there. Add-ons are invoiced after activation. Their blog lists a BI connection at 150€ a month and a data lifecycle add-on at 50€ a month. I have left third-party directory prices off this page.
How long does setup take, and how hard is it?
You can open Pilla the same day. Every new account gets a 14-day trial of Pro, with no card. I usually see a first opening or closing workflow take an afternoon. Falcony starts with a 30-day trial. Observations and audits can go live quickly. Whistleblowing, the tenant portal and ESG take a real rollout.
If you move, you rebuild the templates on the canvas. Photos and history stay in Falcony unless you export them by hand. Run both for a while. Keep whistleblowing, the tenant portal, chemicals and ESG on Falcony or another vendor. I did not build Pilla as a whistleblowing channel, a tenant portal or an ESG suite.
Does the answer change by budget or size?
If you only need digital lists and you want to try something today, start with Pilla. If you need observations, scored audits and involvement tools from one vendor, stay with Falcony. If money is tight, I publish prices. Falcony quotes you. If you want AI in the run and an MCP server, I would pick Pilla even in a small team.
What is each one used for?
Falcony works well for
- Incident, near-miss, hazard and positive observation reporting
- Safety walks, opening, closing and brand audits with scores and PDFs
- Corrective actions with assignees, deadlines and follow-up questions
- Facility inspections, cleaning quality and move-in or move-out checks
- Tenant portal announcements, feedback and service requests
- Anonymous whistleblowing with protected dialogue
- Chemical SDS, risk assessments and ESG data collection
Pilla works well for
- Opening and closing the team can follow on their phone
- Showing someone how to do a step with writing, a photo or a video
- Collecting photos, video, audio, files and signatures as the work happens
- Letting AI fetch, decide and act while the run is live
- Following up yourself, or letting Pilla follow up
- Talking in DMs and group chats next to the work
- Connecting other software through MCP, API and integrations
- Paying for workflows with as many people as you need
What is Falcony designed to do?
Falcony holds observations and scored audits in one place. You prove the work with photos, signatures and attachments. You assign a finding, set a due date and close it with follow-up questions. You can add whistleblowing, a tenant portal, a chemical SDS register and ESG packs. I would stay on Falcony for that involvement suite.
What is Pilla designed to do?
I built Pilla so you can turn the processes you already know into workflows on a canvas. Your team follows them on a phone, tablet or the web app. Pilla checks completed work and handles the follow-up you configured. You keep judgement, coaching and the awkward calls. I left shift scheduling, payroll and HR out on purpose.
What differences actually matter?
How do they check the work?
On Pilla I put AI fetching, decisions and actions in the run. On Falcony a score, a required observation or a required question does the checking, then an AI summary after you submit. AI Answers can draft follow-up fields in a pilot. I could not find an AI step inside an audit or observation template.
How do you design the work?
On Pilla you draw a visual canvas with branching and reuse the workflow. On Falcony you build observation and audit templates with sections, scores and conditional questions. Recurrence is a scheduler add-on. I could not find a visual node canvas.
How do you provide guidance?
On Pilla you sit written, photo and video guidance beside each step. On Falcony you put Markdown help and links on the question, and pictures on audit questions. I could not find a video-guidance step.
How does the team talk?
On Pilla you get DMs and group chats, including on a workflow. Falcony comments live on an observation, with email to participants. Tenants can talk in the tenant portal. Whistleblowing has a protected dialogue. I could not find DMs or group channels.
How do they connect other software?
Pilla publishes an MCP server, a REST API and integrations. Falcony documents Users, Registries, Open link and Places APIs, plus webhooks and named integrations. Their product timeline lists MCP as upcoming in Q4 2026. I could not find a live Falcony MCP server in help.
What are you paying for?
On Pilla you pay for processed workflows, with unlimited people, and you get a 14-day trial of every Pro feature with no card. Falcony quotes you on people involved, or on properties and modules. Add-ons cost extra. I could not find a public software price.
Which should you pick?
If I ran a programme that needed everyone reporting issues and running inspections, with whistleblowing, a tenant portal or ESG in the same vendor, I would keep Falcony. That suite is a fair reason to stay. If I wanted the work drawn on a canvas and AI acting inside the run, with DMs and MCP, I would use Pilla, and I would keep those involvement modules somewhere else.
Frequently asked questions
Is Falcony still Falcony after WeKomply?
Yes. Falcony joined WeKomply, a VIA equity group, on 16 April 2025. They say the brand and team stay. They later acquired Ilmoituskanava for whistleblowing. In September 2026 you still log in at app.falcony.io. Marketing and help still say Falcony.
Does Falcony have AI inside audits and observations?
I could not find an AI step inside a template. Checking is a score, a required question, a required observation and a rule. After submit, AI can summarise the record. AI Answers, a limited pilot, drafts follow-up fields for a human to edit. AI-generated templates and custom bots are listed as upcoming. Some suite pages still label Falcony AI as coming soon.
Can staff chat in Falcony the way they would in Pilla?
Comments live on an observation, and participants get email. The tenant portal has two-way threads and announcements. Whistleblowing has a protected dialogue. I could not find DMs or group channels.
What evidence can a Falcony report capture?
A template can take a photo, another attachment, a signature, a scored choice or grade, a whole or decimal number, a checklist answer, a date or time, and, on observations, a GPS location. Speech-to-text fills text fields. An add-on raises attachment size to 50 to 100MB, which they say is enough for short videos. I could not find a video or audio question type.
Does Falcony put video guidance beside each step?
I could not find video as question help. Audit help text can include Markdown, links and pictures. Observation help text is Markdown and links.
How much does Falcony cost compared to Pilla?
Falcony quotes you. I could not find a public software price. The HSEQ FAQ says usage-based pricing, typically on employees or users involved. Facilities pricing uses property type, number of properties and modules. Add-ons cost extra. They offer a 30-day trial. I do not charge per person. Starter is £49 a month with 500 processed workflows included. Pro is £99 a month with 1,000 included, and adds AI automations inside Pilla. Every new account gets a 14-day trial of every Pro feature, with no card.
Does Falcony offer an MCP server?
I could not find a live MCP server in help. Their product timeline lists Falcony MCP as upcoming in Q4 2026, as a read-only connection for an AI assistant. They do publish APIs, webhooks and named integrations.
Does switching to Pilla replace Falcony whistleblowing, tenant portal, chemicals or ESG?
No. I did not build Pilla as a whistleblowing channel, a tenant portal, a chemical SDS register or an ESG reporting suite. If you need those Falcony modules, keep them on Falcony or another product.
How long does it take to switch from Falcony to Pilla?
You rebuild the templates on the canvas. A first workflow usually takes an afternoon. Running both side by side can take days or a couple of weeks, depending on how many templates you have. Photos and history stay in Falcony unless you move them by hand.
How did you compare Pilla and Falcony?
I read Falcony public docs on 16 September 2026 and answered the same twelve questions I use on every comparison. I described Pilla as it works today. I left out anything Falcony does not publish.
Where did these facts come from?
Falcony claims on this page come from their own public docs. Pilla claims come from the current product.
