Tango vs Way We Do (2026): click-to-SOP capture and in-app guidance, or SOP manuals with activated workflows

I ask the same twelve questions on every comparison. For Tango I went back to Tango help and pricing. For Way We Do I went back to Way We Do help and pricing. I read those public docs on 16 September 2026. Where they stay quiet, I stay quiet.

Tango sells how-to SOP capture and in-app software guidance. Way We Do sells SOP manuals, policy acceptance and activated workflows. They overlap on written procedures and a record that someone followed the steps. They split on screenshot capture, Guide Me and browser agents versus a company manual, read-and-accept and activated checklists. I built Pilla for a different job: AI acting inside the run.

Tango holds software how-tos in one place. You capture a click path as screenshots and written steps. You share a link, an embed or a PDF. You walk someone through the live app with Guide Me. On Enterprise you pin Nuggets, branch a guide, and turn the same capture into a supervised browser agent. You still start at tango.us. That homepage now sends you to tango.ai.

I would keep Tango if I needed click-to-SOP capture, Guide Me overlays and browser agents. That suite is a fair reason to stay.

Way We Do holds policies, procedures and processes in one manual. You force a read-and-accept. You turn a procedure into a role-based checklist run with comments, forms and quizzes. You keep version history, revision schedules and ISO-style audit records. Instant Flowcharts generate a swimlane from the checklist.

I would keep Way We Do if I needed SOP manuals, policy acceptance and activated workflows from one product. That suite is a fair reason to stay.

If the job is click-to-SOP capture, Guide Me and browser agents, keep Tango. If the job is SOP manuals, policy acceptance and activated workflows, keep Way We Do. I built Pilla for a different job.
