GoCanvas vs FastField (2026): field forms with dispatch and branded PDFs, or Quickbase mobile forms with audio and photo insights

I ask the same twelve questions on every comparison. For GoCanvas I went back to their help and packages page. For FastField I went back to their help and Quickbase FastField pages. I read those public docs on 16 September 2026. Where they stay quiet, I stay quiet.

GoCanvas sells digital forms inside a field operations platform. FastField sells mobile forms for field data collection, now as a Quickbase product. They overlap on lists, proof, dispatch and PDFs. They split on Windows fill and a branded PDF designer versus skip logic, audio, Photo Insights and Quickbase. I built Pilla for a different job: AI acting inside the run.

GoCanvas holds field forms in one place. You prove the job with photos, signatures, GPS and timestamps, and you send a branded PDF. Dispatch and scheduled repeats send the form to the crew. Workflow hands a submission to a supervisor. Failed checks can become Follow-Up Tasks on Max. You can push the data into QuickBooks, Salesforce, Procore or a spreadsheet. AI auto-builds a form from a PDF.

I would keep GoCanvas if I needed mobile forms plus dispatch and branded PDFs from one vendor. That forms and dispatch product is a fair reason to stay.

FastField holds inspections, work orders and checklists as mobile forms. You prove the job with photos, video, audio, signatures and GPS. You dispatch the next form, map a branded PDF, and push the data into Quickbase or another system. FastField is Quickbase's mobile forms product. In September 2026 you still search for FastField.

I would keep FastField if I needed mobile forms plus a dispatch inbox, audio proof and Quickbase from one vendor. That forms and dispatch product is a fair reason to stay.

If the job is field forms plus dispatch and branded PDFs, keep GoCanvas. If the job is mobile forms plus a dispatch inbox, audio and Quickbase, keep FastField. I built Pilla for a different job.
