I am Liam Jones. I founded Pilla after more than ten years running hospitality operations, food safety and frontline teams.

I wrote this because I keep getting asked how Poka and Zaptic compare. I ran restaurants for years. I know the job: you want the floor to do the work without you chasing every check.

Poka is an IFS company. You still log into Poka at poka.io. You run digital work instructions and forms, log issues with photos, read Factory Feed, sit in huddles, and keep a skills matrix. Industrial AI drafts instructions, and agents can act on issues with human approval. Sales quote you.

Intellect bought Zaptic on 17 November 2025. You still search for Zaptic. Their marketing now lives under Intellect Connected Frontline Worker. zaptic.com sends you there. You run digital work instructions, collect photo, video and signature proof, and you can add SAP, Maximo, MES and a path into Intellect QMS.

I built Pilla so you can turn a process you already know into a workflow on a canvas. Your team runs it on a phone, tablet or the web app. Pilla can fetch, decide and act while the work is happening. You keep the judgement calls.

If you want to try it on a process you already run, open the canvas.

Quick Summary

I would pick Poka when I want plant knowledge, skills, Factory Feed and huddles. I would pick Zaptic when I want shop-floor work instructions tied to plant systems and QMS. I would pick Pilla when I want AI to act inside the work.

  • I would pick Poka if I needed plant knowledge, skills, Factory Feed and huddle boards
  • I would pick Zaptic if I needed shop-floor work instructions tied to plant systems and QMS
  • I would pick Pilla if I wanted a process I already know drawn on a canvas, with branching
  • I would pick Pilla if I wanted AI to fetch, decide and act inside the run

How did we compare them?

I ask the same twelve questions on every comparison. For Poka I used their public product, pricing, legal and Industrial AI pages. For Zaptic I used Intellect Connected Frontline Worker pages, live PDFs and store listings. I used their public docs and I have not used a paid account. Where they stay quiet, I stay quiet.

What is Poka, and when should you pick it?

Poka holds work instructions, troubleshoots and skills in one plant library. You run checklists, audits and CIL on the floor. You log issues to a Kanban and escalate them through tiers. Shifts stay aligned on Factory Feed and huddle boards. Industrial AI writes content, answers questions and acts on issues under approval. Poka is an IFS company. You still log into Poka at poka.io.

I would pick Poka if I needed plant work instructions, skills, Factory Feed and huddle boards from one vendor. That connected-worker suite is a fair reason to stay.

Price: No public software price. Sales quote.

Trial: Demo and quote. No advertised self-serve trial.

Why people stay on Poka

  • Work instructions, forms and issues in one plant library
  • Skills, exams and huddle boards in the same product
  • Factory Feed for shift handover
  • Industrial AI agents and a production MCP server

Why people look

  • No public software price
  • I could not find a visual work canvas
  • I could not find DMs or group chat rooms
  • Help Center sits behind a login

What is Zaptic, and when should you pick it?

Zaptic holds CIL, quality checks, changeovers and EHS observations on the shop floor. You prove the work with photos, video, audio, signatures and timestamps. You escalate a failed check into CAPA. You can pipe SAP PM, Maximo and MES onto the same to-do list, and you can add Intellect QMS. Intellect bought Zaptic on 17 November 2025. zaptic.com sends you to Intellect Connected Frontline Worker.

I would pick Zaptic if I needed shop-floor work instructions plus plant systems and QMS. That factory stack is a fair reason to stay.

Price: No public software price. Sales quote.

Trial: Demo and quote. No advertised self-serve trial.

Why people stay on Zaptic

  • Digital work instructions and CIL on the production line
  • SAP PM and Maximo work orders on the same to-do list
  • Path into Intellect QMS
  • Instant messaging tied to the work

Why people look

  • No public software price
  • I could not find a public billing unit
  • I could not find an MCP server
  • I could not find fetch, decision or action steps you place inside a live run

When is Pilla the third option?

If the job is plant work instructions, skills, Factory Feed and huddle boards, pick Poka. If the job is shop-floor work plus SAP, Maximo, MES and a QMS loop, pick Zaptic. I built Pilla for a different job. You draw the process on a canvas. The team runs it on a phone, tablet or the web app. Pilla checks the work as it comes in and follows up when something needs you. I did not build shift scheduling, payroll, HR, a plant skills matrix, Factory Feed, huddle boards or Maximo and SAP work orders. If you need those, keep them on Poka, Zaptic or another vendor. You can open Pilla the same day. Pay as you go is £199 a month with 1,500 processed workflows included, then 15p each. Enterprise is from £25k a year. Talk to us to get set up. People are unlimited.

Which should you pick?

I would pick Poka if I needed plant work instructions, skills, Factory Feed and huddle boards from one vendor. I would pick Zaptic if I needed shop-floor work instructions plus plant systems and QMS. If I wanted the work drawn on a canvas and AI acting inside the run, with DMs, I would use Pilla, and I would keep plant skills, the feed, huddles, SAP, Maximo and QMS somewhere else.
