They lean consumer and prosumer, with smart-home automation, content creators, and SMB owner-operators as the named audience.

IFTTT wins on three things Pilla does not try to match. First, sheer breadth of consumer and smart-home integrations: Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, Hue, Ring, Ecobee, Spotify, Fitbit, plus social platforms like Bluesky, YouTube, and Threads. Second, price: $3.49/month for Pro and $14.99/month for Pro+ undercuts almost every business automation tool. Third, simplicity: one user, one trigger, one or more actions, a low ceiling on complexity and therefore a low cognitive load. For a single founder, freelancer, or smart-home enthusiast wiring up personal stacks, IFTTT is hard to beat.

IFTTT is built for one person automating their own digital life. It has no team primitive, no role model, no chat, no broadcasts, no checklists, no forms, no rich-text or video guidance for a worker, no signature pad, no audit log beyond a 100-item rolling activity feed, no SSO, no SCIM, no SLA, and no Enterprise tier. The Camera widget and Location service show that IFTTT can capture a photo or a geofence trigger from a phone, but only as an automation trigger, never as a step a frontline worker performs as part of guided work. Pilla wins whenever the buyer's actual problem is "a team of deskless humans needs to do work on phones and prove it happened" — kitchens, warehouses, stores, clinics, route teams. That use case is structurally outside IFTTT's design space.
