Best field operations software (2026)

I ask the same twelve questions I use on every vs page. For this shortlist I stayed with field ops tools. I put Pilla first because that is the product I built, not because it wins every job. GoCanvas is mobile forms plus dispatch and PDFs. ProntoForms is mobile forms with write-back to Salesforce or ServiceNow, now as TrueContext. SiteDocs is construction safety forms, certifications and contractor Lite. Raken is construction dailies, time and a safety file. I left out office task apps, Zapier-style automation, rota products, warehouse management and field service dispatch products such as Jobber or ServiceTitan. I read their public docs on 17 September 2026. Where they stay quiet, I stay quiet.

I built Pilla for AI work management on the floor. GoCanvas, ProntoForms, SiteDocs and Raken are better when the remaining job is mobile forms plus dispatch, Salesforce write-back, a construction safety programme, or construction dailies. None of them is a clone of the others.

If you need mobile forms plus dispatch and PDF reports from one vendor, pick GoCanvas. If you need mobile forms with write-back to Salesforce or ServiceNow, pick ProntoForms. If you need construction safety forms, certifications and contractor Lite, pick SiteDocs. If you need signed dailies, time cards and a jobsite safety file, pick Raken. If you want the work drawn on a canvas and AI acting inside the run, with DMs and MCP, I would use Pilla, and I would keep dispatch, branded PDFs, certifications and construction dailies somewhere else.

Field teams do not need one winner. They need the tool that matches the remaining job. I would pick Pilla when I want the floor to follow the process without me chasing every check. I would pick the others when mobile forms with dispatch, Salesforce write-back, a construction safety programme or construction dailies is the job.
